Quran is the divine revelation, the central religious text of Islam that is believed to be a revelation from God (Arabic: الله, الّّد; Allah). It is widely regarded as the finest piece of literature in the Arabic language. Every Muslim is expected to learn to read and recite the Quran, and some also learn how to read and write the Quran in order to study and understand it better.
Quran is divided into chapters, called surahs, which are then divided into verses, called aikms. Each surah has a verse that is called the Qur’an verse (Qur’an ayah), and it is this verse that is often considered the central meaning of the entire surah. The word “Quran” comes from the Arabic word “روان”, which means “the record” or “the reminder”.
